After a great experience in Yangshuo, it was time to travel to our next destination in China to see the pandas in Chengdu, which meant another flight. Flights in China are always a concern to me, as it’s uncertain if China has the same safety standards. But everything looked the same as in the U.S., including the ticket counters, the waiting areas and the planes. And the airports in both Guilin and Chengdu are modern, with Chengdu’s airport having a cool, articulated design. That was all comforting to see. What wasn’t good to see was yet another crazy Chinese food meal on the flight, complete with “Chilli” Sauce packets.
