The Reed Flute Cave is a picturesque tourist attraction in Guilin, China made even more spectacular with multi-colored lighting, rope lights, laser lights and a light show on the ceiling. The lights are almost garish if they didn’t highlight the cave’s features so well. (The Chinese really know how to put a light on something.) A trip through the cave takes about an hour. About halfway through the tour there is an expansive hall that has a light show on the ceiling with information about the cave’s creation and history. (You can watch the light show when you get home, because if you’re like the rest of the tourists, you’ll be too busy recording the show on your phone to actually watch the show.) There is a tourist shop at the cave and nearby there is a souvenir market near a small scenic lake.
